Movosfera: a new layer of the Earth
Movosfera is a movement of people who want to become something as simple and as ambitious as a new layer of the Earth: a human layer, conscious and active, that adds itself to the layers we already know —the atmosphere, the biosphere, the hydrosphere— but which, unlike them, decides and acts.
What is Movosfera?
Movosfera is born from a simple idea: communications now reach the entire planet, the Internet democratizes information, so the problems that used to be tackled country by country, region by region, today only make sense if they are tackled for what they are —problems of a single species, in a single home. Movosfera is the answer to that need: not a local organization, but a global community of people committed to global problems.
Why does it exist?
It exists because knowing a problem is not enough to change its trajectory. Something more is needed: people willing to act, and a place where those people can find each other, recognize each other and add what each of them already knows how to do. Movosfera does not seek only to communicate ideas or feelings; it seeks for those ideas and feelings to become solutions.
A new layer of people
When we speak of a “new layer of the Earth” we are not talking about a physical place, but about a layer of awareness and action that crosses countries, professions and generations. It is the sum of those who have already decided that improving what we already have —perfecting instead of destroying in order to rebuild— is a faster and more real path than waiting for a perfect solution that never arrives. That layer grows person by person, not by decree.
Its relationship with action on climate change
Climate change is, today, the problem that best demonstrates why this layer is needed: it is global, it does not allow for isolated solutions, and it moves faster than collective awareness of it. Movosfera exists to accelerate that awareness and, above all, to turn it into concrete action: connecting those who are already building alternatives, solving problems or changing course, and giving them a place from which to join forces.
